Dementia Carers Count has launched its 2025 survey of dementia carers.
This is a chance for you to tell Dementia Carers Count about your experience as a current or former dementia carer, or to share the survey with any dementia carers you know.
Everyone’s experience of caring is unique. What you tell Dementia Carers Count will help it better understand the pressures on family carers, shape the services it provides and helps it to prioritise what it asks governments across the UK to address.
Your voice has been heard
For the past three years, 9 out of 10 carers who responded to the survey told Dementia Carers Count that they had reached crisis point at least once.
Dementia Carers Count shared its findings with politicians and policy makers who can make a difference. It went to Downing Street, the Scottish Parliament and the Senedd in Wales.
The 2025 survey
This year, Dementia Carers Count want to find out more about when and why this is happening and the support carers have needed to be able to cope.
It’s not right that so many dementia carers are reaching crisis points. By understanding more about the situations dementia carers are finding themselves in, what’s pushing them towards crises and what help they’ve needed, we’ll be able to develop strong campaigns which draw attention to what urgently needs to change.”
