Adult Carers Support Worker – part time (21-28 hrs per week), £29,423 pro rata
As an Adult Carers Support Worker you’ll be part of the Adult Carer Support Team at Richmond Carers Centre. Here, you’ll provide carers with advice, information and emotional support either face-to-face, via email and through our dedicated telephone support line. Much of your work will involve actively listening to carers and formulating packages of support. You will also be involved in organising breaks for carers, outreach activities and leisure events, as well as group work to help enhance carers’ health and wellbeing. You’ll also be expected to work with our volunteers and to use appropriate monitoring and evaluation reports to show our funders what we’ve achieved.
Adult Carers Activities Coordinator – part time (14 hrs per week), £26,581 pa (actual salary £10,632)
As an Adult Carers Activities Coordinator, you’ll be part of a small dedicated team and directly deliver our leisure break activity programme. You will plan, deliver, promote and review a programme of activities for adult carers, including outreach activities and leisure events, as well as group work to help enhance carers’ health and wellbeing. The core aim of the activity programme is to provide carers with a much needed break from their caring responsibilities, in a safe and social environment where they can meet other carers and focus on their wellbeing.
Young Carers Schools Link Worker (full-time 35 hours or part time 21 hours per week), £26,581
As a Young Carers Schools Link Worker, you will be part of a small, dedicated team and take a lead on improving support for young carers in schools. You will be responsible for implementing a Young Carers in Schools Programme with a range of local primary and secondary schools. Its aim is to improve the identification, recognition and understanding of the needs of young carers, raise the profile of young carers in schools, and ensure young carers needs are met. This will lead to the improvement of the health, education and wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people who are caring for others.
Sessional Workers – £10.85 per hour. Paid monthly.
This does not include sick or holiday pay and will not be paid for any sessions unattended. Recruitment ongoing
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed sessional workers, willing to get involved in activities – active, creative and outdoor games – who are sensitive to the needs of vulnerable children. It is vital that you are confident interacting with young people and able to adapt to new situations. Experience of working with children or groups of young people is essential.
