As part of Carers Week 2025, we are pleased to share a free opportunity being offered by Work, Care & Thrive. The 5 Day Self Care Challenge is taking place from Monday 9th to Friday 13 June 2025.
This online challenge has been created specifically with unpaid carers in mind, particularly those who find it difficult to prioritise their own wellbeing. It has been designed by individuals with lived experience of caring and offers a supportive space to pause, reflect, and recharge.
What is the Challenge?
Each day, participants will receive a short activity or reflection that can be completed in 10 to 20 minutes, at a time that suits them. These activities are simple, accessible and intended to support emotional and mental wellbeing.
There is also an optional evening Zoom session each day for those who would value a calm and gentle space to connect with others.
Why Take Part?
This challenge is ideal for carers who may be feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure how to make time for themselves. It is:
- Flexible and easy to access – all content is delivered online, with no obligation to complete everything
- Grounded in real-life experience – created by people who understand the impact of caring on personal wellbeing
- Supportive but not overwhelming – designed to offer meaningful moments of calm without adding pressure
How to participate
Carers can find out more about the challenge on the Work Care & Thrive website: www.workcareandthrive.com
Share with Others
If you work with or support carers, or know someone who might benefit, please consider sharing this opportunity with them. It is a simple and thoughtful way to encourage carers to look after themselves, even if just for a few minutes each day.
Let us help ensure that carers receive the recognition and support they deserve during Carers Week 2025.
