Carers Week 2025 – Starts today

Carers Week 2025 begins today. It runs between Monday 9th and Sunday 15th June. Richmond Carers Centre is delighted to be celebrating Carers Week again this year.

To mark this important week, Richmond Carers Centre is offering a comprehensive programme of free activities and workshops throughout June, thanks to generous support from OneRichmond. This initiative reflects our commitment to recognising and valuing the vital role of unpaid carers in our community.

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring and help people to identify as carers and access much-needed support.

Charities, organisations and individuals get together to show support for the millions of unpaid carers in the UK and to spread the word about the challenges they face and what needs to be done to improve their daily lives.

The theme for 2025 is ‘Caring about Equality’, drawing attention to the inequalities unpaid carers often experience, such as a higher risk of poverty, social isolation, and poor health.

This Carers Week, communities across the UK will come together to recognise the huge contribution unpaid carers make to society. Politicians, employers, health and social services, businesses, education providers and members of the public all have a role to play in raising awareness of caring and making sure carers are able to access the information and support they need.
