In summer 2018, artist Linda Griffiths led a series of ceramics workshops for carers. Working with clay was a first for some, and as one carer said ‘I had never done ceramics, it combines practical and creative skills and I really liked it.’ Thirty works, inspired by flowers, are now on display in Richmond Carers Centre’s garden. Complementing the Garden Gang’s hard work and tender loving care of the garden, year-round colour from the summer ceramicists is a new feature to be enjoyed. At 2018’s Wellbeing Day, carers were asked to suggest a new name for the garden, and ‘The Nook’ has now been adopted.
Thank you to Squires Garden Centre, Twickenham for supporting the Garden Gang.
