Masonic Charitable Foundation’s grant helps some of Richmond upon Thames’ most isolated residents

One in eight of us will be an unpaid carer at some point in our life (according to Carers Trust) and with more than 15,000 carers in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames alone, the need for Richmond Carers Centre to support adult and young carers is clear. For over 16 years we have been bringing carers together, through the provision of support and information, wellbeing and social activities, as well as specialist talks and workshops that support carers who have more specific caring roles. Many of these events take place at Richmond Carers Centre’s Twickenham home, and a recent, generous grant of £5,000 from the Masonic Charitable Foundation, via the Middlesex Freemasons, will underpin our programme for the year ahead.
