Peer support group for LGBTQ+ unpaid carers

A dedicated support space for LGBTQ+ unpaid carers is now meeting monthly at London Friend on Caledonian Road. This peer led group offers a welcoming environment for individuals to connect with others who share similar lived experiences and to find strength through mutual support.

The group has been running for over a year and serves as a vital resource for those who may feel isolated due to their caring responsibilities. Members often find that the shared knowledge within the group provides a lifeline and a unique sense of community that is not always available in more general settings.

Who is it for

The group is open to any unpaid carer regardless of where they live. While based in North London, the organisers welcome members from all boroughs as well as those who work or provide care in neighbouring areas.

The group is friendly and confidential and maintains an environment where carers can speak freely about their experiences and challenges.
