Carers are welcome to book an appointment with Age UK Richmond (see below for contact details) or it also provides walk-in clinics at its centres (see below for clinic details).
What can the Welfare Benefits Team help with?
Age UK Richmond’s Welfare Benefits Team can help you:
- Assess the situation, and ensure the correct benefits are being received
- Visit at home if needed, or at a community location to suit
- Follow a benefits application through to award, to ensure the best possible chance of success
- Look for other grants and financial support that may help
- Offer advice and support you with Richmond Council’s Fuel Grant Scheme application

What to bring to an appointment?
To make the most of their appointments, carers will need to bring the following information:
- Income of household
- What benefits they are on already if any
- Bank statements for the last 3 months
- Completed consent form from the person they are caring for (click here to download the form) or their signed registered LPA
- Declaration of confidentiality to be mentioned, and we will have it available at the appointments
