Family Matters

Family Matters at Ruils run workshops and drop-in sessions at the Disability Action & Advice Centre, 4 Waldegrave Road Teddington TW11 8HT every 4th Tuesday of the month from 10am-12.30pm except for school holidays. You can pop in, have coffee and a cake and learn more about a variety of topics. RUILS staff, including Sian Austin and Linda Cambell-Arthur from Family Matters, Alex Hardy from Independent Support & Sue Robson from the Sitting & Befriending service, are on hand to answer your questions.

On 26th September 2017 Yvonne Lentge from Richmond Borough Mind will present a Mental Health Awareness & Stress Management Workshop for carers. This will look at understanding what the term “stress” means, describe the signs and symptoms, outline some possible causes, and try some techniques to reduce and manage our own stress.

Creative Writing Group changes

On the second Tuesday of each month we will be meeting at Homelink Day Respite Care Centre, Hospital Bridge Road, Whitton, Twickenham, Middlesex TW2 6DE to take a leisurely stroll into Crane Park. Once we are in the park we will use a range of techniques to inspire our writing, using the natural environment around us to pique the imagination. Wear clothes suitable for weather conditions on the day.

On the last Tuesday of each month we will still be situated at Homelink Day Respite Care Centre, where we will review what we have worked on in the previous session.
