Richmond Carers Centre is delighted to share that FOSS (Friends of St Stephen’s Primary School, Twickenham) has undertaken an extraordinary cycling challenge to raise funds for a number of charities, including Richmond Carers Centre’s Young Carers Service.
A dedicated team of parents from the school recently completed a sponsored cycle ride all the way from Richmond to Bruges, in Belgium. Covering over 200 miles across the course of a single weekend, the group showed incredible determination and community spirit in support of causes that make a difference to children and families.
Richmond Carers Centre is proud and grateful to be one of the chosen beneficiaries of this inspiring fundraising effort. Ten percent of the funds raised by the Cycle to Bruges campaign will go directly to our Young Carers Service, which provides vital support to children and young people in Richmond who help care for a family member with an illness, disability, mental health condition or substance dependency.
The donation will help us continue to offer emotional support, social opportunities, and practical advice to young carers, giving them a break from their caring role and the chance to enjoy being children and young people.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in the Cycle to Bruges challenge, and to the wider St Stephen’s School community for their ongoing support. Your generosity will have a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of young carers in our borough.
