Nicholas Rettie, Trustee

Having personal experience of being a carer, and having benefitted directly from the support provided by Richmond Carers Centre, I am glad to have the opportunity to add value as a trustee.

My professional background is hospitality, having been the General Manager of a number of leading independent hotels in central London. I served as a Governor at Westminster Kingsway College, and was a Board member of CenTEC. My knowledge of the charitable sector comes from my involvement on the Court of a City Livery Company that donates significant sums from its Charitable Fund annually. My interests include art and design, history, and European culture.

My task as a trustee is to be a critical friend – to support our excellent management team and to challenge them and ourselves, the Trustees, to ensure we are doing the best job possible for the unpaid carers in Richmond.
