Translating patient information resources to address health inequalities

The Patients Association are holding online focus groups to help them translate and culturally adapt factsheets that aim to support communities to understand their healthcare rights, actively engage in decisions about their treatment and improve communication with healthcare professionals.

The factsheets have already been translated by an interpreting and translation service, so focus group discussions will be around whether they need to be culturally adapted or the language needs to be changed.

Who is it for?

They are looking for people who speak Portuguese or Punjabi and English who may be interested in being in a focus group with up to four other people and wish to help them ensure the factsheets are accurately translated.

Participants will be paid £80 for their time and experience.
