Transit Community Support CIC is committed to empowering communities in Richmond and Hounslow by providing free or affordable skills-based courses and support services, particularly for unpaid carers. These offerings encompass areas such as social care, mathematics, English, and digital skills, all aimed at enhancing the daily lives of participants.
Beyond skill development, these sessions have evolved into safe, supportive environments where carers can connect, share experiences, and establish peer-to-peer support networks. This communal aspect has proven invaluable, offering emotional relief and practical assistance that significantly benefit both carers and those they care for.
Through collaborative initiatives like the “Caring for Carers” project, Transit Community Support CIC partners with local councils, healthcare providers and community organisations to deliver holistic support tailored to carers’ needs. This integrated approach not only enhances carers’ well-being but also improves the quality of care they provide to their loved ones.
