Richmond CVS is developing a mailing list which will enable people with lived experience of health and care services to influence these local services by getting involved in a range of ways.
Who is it for?
The Richmond CVS Involvement Pool is looking for unpaid carers who support family members or friends with health or care needs and, therefore, have an understanding of the type of health and care services their cared for requires or uses, including issues which they encounter with local services. As suggested, this includes any gaps in services (so it is not just how services work/what is good or bad, but also whether things are missing?).
As Richmond CVS is currently developing a co-production charter for the council, it is open to ideas from carers about involvement opportunities the Council could provide.
Requirements
There are no specific requirements on participants. However RCVS will be organising quarterly meetings online as part of the support it will provide for those involved in co-production and involvement locally. Information about any involvement opportunities will be provided by email so, practically, a computer/tablet or smartphone is a basic requirement.
Some involvement opportunities may have more detailed requirements although these are often simply to do some with familiarity with a service area, ability to take part in discussions etc. In the past, people have, for example, contributed their thoughts on service changes in meetings, helped to decide who delivers services locally by taking part in commissioning panels, commented on communications and web-pages the Council has been developing, as well as how their processes (such as assessments) work.
Incentives
Richmond CVS always ask those providing opportunities to provide expenses and, where possible, an appropriate reward for participation. However, participants should be aware that these are not guaranteed.
GDPR
Your contact details will not be shared with 3rd parties unless participants specifically request it (e.g. owing to facing issues communicating with an opportunity provider). Richmond CVS is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Deadline
Recruitment will be ongoing until April 2025.
