FREE: Positive Steps to Wellbeing Workshops for carers

The Positive Steps to Wellbeing workshops is an online course is designed for carers. A carer is someone who, unpaid, looks after a friend or family member due to illness, disability, mental health condition or substance misuse.

About the workshops

Over four weeks, carers will be given skills and tools to practice with one another, sharing their experiences of caring while making positive changes for their own wellbeing. In order to do this, carers attending the course must commit to attending all four sessions and contribute their insights and ideas with the group in breakout rooms and group tasks.

For those who would prefer not to have their camera on, this is fine, however, attendees will need to use their microphones in order to engage with the sessions.

As attendees will be sharing personal experiences during the course, each participant must agree to maintaining a confidential space, ensuring that online conversations are not overheard by others in their household and anything shared within the confidential space remains in that space.

Due to the requirement to engage and share personal experiences, this course will not be suitable for professionals looking to learn strategies to support carers’ wellbeing. However, if the professional is also a carer and is happy to join and share their own caring experiences, they will be most welcome.
