As a former civil servant in the Department of Health, I have worked extensively on national health & social care policies. That is why I relished the opportunity to become involved with a local voluntary organisation which can do so much to make a real difference to the lives of local people. Our community is highly reliant on the dedication of so many unpaid carers. They, in turn, need our support. That was the vision of the founders of the Richmond Carers Centre. It still is.
