What is Mentoring?
Mentoring provides a safe space for young carers to explore their caring role, and any other worries they may currently face, with a young carers support worker, one to one.
It takes a solution-focused approach and supports young carers through setting personal targets and exploring things in different ways, e.g. talking, information resources, arts and crafts etc.
How does Mentoring work?
We offer a set of 6-12 mentoring sessions, depending on the individual’s preference and the area/s they would like to focus on – everyone is different. The sessions will take place either at Richmond Carers Centre or in school, dependent on preference.
Who is Mentoring for? All young carers registered with Richmond Carers Centre can have mentoring with us. To book a space please contact Sophie Richardson, Senior Young Carers Support Worker on email@example.com or 020 8867 2383.
